Junk! Lasted less than 2 years.
We purchased this disposal almost 2 years ago. I was replacing a lessor HP Badger that only lasted 4 years. I should have seen this coming. The disposal leaked out of the bottom of the unit, same as the previous one. The seal on the inside wears out quickly. The inside was nothing but rust and corrosion. I am replacing this one with a Waste King (lifetime warranty) due to the reviews compared to this brand. This only comes with a one-year warranty which it will probably fail shortly after.

A very poor disposal!!
We've had one for several years. I periodically have to take apart the entire plastic tubing system because it gets clogged very easily. It's a mess and not easy to put back together.
We are very careful, cutting up pieces before we put anything in it.
It once got stuck on a 'lemon rind'. Forget grape vines....(twice). Now we throw them away in the trash.

Beware.

So far, so good
This is a relatively quiet garbage disposal unit that I recently installed under a second food preparation sink. It is not my main disposal unit. I have learned long ago that disposal units do not like fibrous materials (don't use them for things like grape stems). They do not like being overloaded, and do not perform miracles. Things that should go in your trash (large bones, corn husks, large cauliflower stalks, etc.) should go in your trash. So we shall see. Disposal units do wear out and need periodic replacement. They do not last the life of the house. This is a low priced unit, and is relatively easy to mount (meaning easy to replace), so we shall see. It is a brand sold at Home Depot and other sources.
