Electrolux Wave-Touch Series 30 In. Stainless Steel Gas Range - EW30GF65GS
Surprised by the negative reviews.
Just got this range at the end of Feb 11, and it took a couple weeks to get it installed in the house. The impact this range has had over our stock Whirlpool flat top electrical range I bought with the house almost two years ago, was significant. My wife was won over by the "Bread Proofing" function and a couple visits to local stores for comparisons to other models under consideration (GE, SAMSUNG, LG, BOSCH). Anyway, the ease of cooking with this range is much greater than we would have imagined in a couple short months. A few pros, two small cons, and a small warning are all I have to say about this excellent range.

Pros:

1) Easy to clean up. However if you let any food items get on the recessed cook top surface below the grill, your cleanup will be that much harder. Seems obvious, but I have a teenager in the house. The oven surface is also easy to keep up on.

2) Easy glide racks. I slowly worked on the wife for two years about easy glide racks...

Silly Design Flaws
We got this unit as a pair with an Electrolux dishwasher, which I've also reviewed, and has been nothing but trouble. This is a beautiful range with a lot of nice features. It is all electronically controlled, has convection, the sliding racks are great, and it feels well built. But it has one of the silliest design flaws, which I cannot believe was not detected by the engineers. The racks above the burners, the small removable rings around the burners, and the topmost part of the burners are cast iron. They look great when they are new, but once you start cleaning the unit, they rust, discoloring them and leaving rust stains on the stainless steel which you cannot get out. Its very similar to a cast iron pan which has rusted. I cannot believe that something else could not have been used. I've used many gas stoves, cleaning all of them the same way, and never encountered such an issue. Its really odd. Additionally, the largest burner which is hollowed out and encloses a small...

Great looking stove that cooks well.
We have this stove for several months now. Purchased it based on Consumer Reports review and prior experience with Electrolux's OUTSTANDING commitment to customer service. We do NOT do a lot of cooking, so this stove is overkill for our needs....but it looks pretty.

LIKES:
Lot's of great features and great looks with the wave touch control panel that looks like it came out of a Star Trek episode. MANY cooking options with multiple timers, fast pre-heat, perfect Turkey (going to try for Thanksgiving), multiple stage and convection. More than I'll ever use for sure. Attractive front door design and solid quality cast iron grates.

Haven't used it more than a few dozen times but seems to cook well and evenly. Inside is well lit with theater lighting. Luxury Racks extend all the way out for easy access to food. 3 Shelves in the main oven can really cook a feast. Doors stay put in whatever position you leave it. I haven't used the bottom oven yet as I...
