Disappointing
I purchased this machine in January 2011 via Interenet observation. How disappointed I was! Especially because I heard KITCHENAID was a superior product. Well, it has been an experience, and a bad one at that. The diswasher was delivered, and I was surprised at the chintzy racks. I thought to myself could these possibly last? Well, not only did the racks not last, but the diswasher itself burned out within a month. The store I purchased it from replaced it with a brand new (same model) dishwasher, with the same cheap plastic racks. Within 5 months the rack tracking system broke as well as the wheels on the rack fell off. This time I called KitchenAid and they said they would send a repair man. I waited all day, though he was supposed to arrive prior to 3 PM. At 5PM I receive a call staing he is on his way, and five minutes later I receive a call stating that the repairman was rerouted to an emergency and they had "no one else to send, though they could get to me a week later". BUYER...

Worthless
This is hands down the worst dishwasher I've owned. I agree with the other reviews. The top racks are cheap and constantly malfunction. Within months, the dishwasher has started stopping mid cycle. I was informed this is a $500 fix

KitchenAid dishwasher - Worst appliance experience of my life!
Exactly as others have stated, the racks are horrible! I have had multiple service calls regarding the upper racks and the wheels which seem to fall apart simply by looking at them. So, on the 370th day of the 365 day warranty I called again for service. As you would imagine, Kitchen Aid told me the product was out of service. "but you've been out several times already to fix this same exact issue on a $1,200 dishwasher and it continues to fail?" I stated. Well, the customer service representative did send my 1/2 of the necessary parts and put the repair labor on me. Ok, not exactly what I expected but she did attempt to compromise. She did recommend an extended warranty as well. With the long line of problems I experienced I decided to go with the extended warranty for a few hundred bucks. Here's where it gets interesting.... on my first call for service on the very predictable rack malfunction, you guessed it, the service representative informed me the extended warranty...
