Amazon and this dryer made me a hero to the wife
To start I work overseas so when I get a call from home with the wife telling me the dryer is out, it is somewhat of a problem. we had already bought the washer earlier in the year so we decided to get the matching dryer to go along with it.I contacted our local Lowes store, told them what I wanted and asked if they had it, Yes they did have it, all I needed to do was pay 1300.00 dollars and wait 2 weeks for delivery!!!! I kindly told them no thank you. So I got on amazon look up what I needed to my surprize the seller was offering free shipping and it was 500.00 less then Lowes. It arrived in 5 days in perfect condition and the wife loves it....

Great Dryer
Had to replace a 19 year old Amana gas dryer. Was not having any issues over the years, but the dryer started making bad sounds and stop running. Did a lot of shopping, looking and reading to see if there were any obvious choices that should be made due to advantages. Not seeing anything that stood out, we looked at the features we had to have. Gas, sensor drying, front side lint filter and interior dryer light. The dryer installed easily, was exceptionally quiet and dried the clothes very quickly compared to the dryer it replaced. Seems solid and has some nice features, no buzzer, more like a cell phone jingle at the end of the cycle. Lots of choices for temperatures and dryness levels.

Nice dryer but use with caution
We bought one of these dryers in late 2011, and loved it: looks and works great.

Then we moved in 2013, and after installing the dryer in the new house, the lint inside the dryer housing ignited. Some of the lint must have shifted during the move, moving closer to the gas heater source. Luckily, the fire didn't cause major damage. I did some research online, and came across a class-action suite, "[...]", which seems to indicate that this was not just an isolated incident.

You need to take the back of the dryer off in order to see the lint buildup inside the dryer housing (around the drum motor, heater source, etc), and vacuum up as much lint as possible. My wife is meticulous about cleaning the lint trap with every load, so there may be a design issue involved letting the lint migrate inside the housing. We will keep using it, but will check the lint build-up often to make sure it is safe.

Easy to Use
I was initially drawn to this machine by it's looks, but bought it for ease of use. Samsung and LG consistently get high marks but in everyday use they drive me nuts. For those not familiar with the Asian design aesthetic, it basically goes like this: More buttons + more blinking lights + more beeping noises = more better. Well, in the words of Stan Marsh, "I thought this was America!" It is, Stan, and this one is actually made in America too.

The controls are simple, just go from left to right. Set auto or timed mode, modify the default settings if you want, throw in some bonuses (like delay time), and press play. I did not really need to read the instructions to figure it out, and the silly noises can be turned off. This is also the first dryer I have ever used with an automatic dry mode that actually works. Although the modes are a bit goofy, "more dry" equals dry, I'm not sure how you can be more dry than dry but whatever. "Normal dry" equals barely damp, perfect for...

DO NOT BUY!
I had the same problem with anything that had straps or draw strings would be torn apart by the lent screen handle. Emailed Frigidaire, no response. I bought a new lint filter, this did not help. When the dryer was just over 2 years old the handle broke off, and plastic housing started to crack. E-mailed again, still no response. Hubby attached new handle. Dryer is now 5 years old and the control panel caught on fire. Flames shot out of the top of the dryer. Sent e-mail they responded with " Sorry to hear about the fire glad everyone is safe. Please have a repairman look at the unit to determine the cause. The unit is no longer under warranty so you will have to pay for the call." I work for an electronic company so I took the control panel into them and guess what the fire started in the main board. I sent pictures of the control panel and of the dryer it's self (no other damage) and sent it to Frigidaire. Their response this time is I can buy a new control panel for $91 and...

Crappy design shouldnt be on the market
My electrician and I just took apart this dryer because the motor burnt out. We notice the rubber gasket sealing the exhaust parts was approx. 1 millimeter thick and had broken, causing the insides of the dryer to accumulate lint. This caused the motor to burn out after 2.5 yrs., not to mention it was a fire hazard. This unit should not be approved by UL. We installed a new motor and sealed the exhaust parts with aluminum tape, which is what the factory should use.
Dont buy any Frigidaire dryers.

A good dryer
We bought a matching set of frigidaire appliances for our washroom, it was a really good price and we like them a lot. The dryer is efficient and I can run a load from beginning of wash to end of dry in an hour or so. The clothes come out perfectly dry and are easy to retrieve through the door. The only complaint I would have is about the door, sometimes things get pulled into the edge and don't get fluffed back in with the other clothes causing wrinkles, this mainly happens to socks and cloth baby wipes, so it is not a big problem.

Steam is not a gimic
I needed a new washing machine and this one had good reviews. And it works well. What I was not expecting is to get any use from the 'steam' setting. This is an add-on to some of the cycles, where it uses small amounts of steam to enhance the cleaning. My nice towels had some dirt stains on them, which I had tried many ways of removing (by hand, rubbing in various types of detergents, laundry boosters, ...). Figuring it wouldn't hurt to try, I put these in and selected the steam setting. Noticeably improved! After a second wash with the steam setting, the stains were gone. I am amazed.

Most of the cycle lengths are a reasonable length of time, perhaps 45 minutes to an hour. There is a roughly 15 minute cycle that can be used to freshen up clothing. The steam cycle, though, takes a very long time - over 2 hours. It is worth it, but you can't be in a hurry when using it. I like to do that cycle first, since it takes longer than the dryer cycle requires.

Clothes come out really clean
The clothes came out cleaner than previous washers and really clean using the steam cycle. It has a speed wash cycle for small loads that only takes 15 minutes. Some cycles are long but worth it. Very automated even weighing the clothes and adjusting the time prior to washing. Uses extremely little water and very high spin cycle. LG has sent several e-mails explaining how to operate and care for the washer. The washer had an additional cardboard box that was added around the factory box so the washer arrived in perfect condition. Very happy with this washer and like the idea of getting it through Amazon.

Spoiler alert! Washer is actually 30.25 inches deep!
Love the machine. Love the features! Hate the modification to the laundry room to make it fit. LG did not take into account the necessary room to accommodate attaching hoses to back. They also neglected to include for the curved front that extends beyond the floor measurement. If we were renting we could not have done the necessary modifications to make it fit!

What a mistake....do not buy this!
When our old dishwasher broke we decided to "upgrade" to a nice stainless washer. What a mistake. I guess there's a reason this one is inexpensive, it's a piece of junk.

The main problem is that the soap won't dissolve unless you run it on power wash and even that option is becoming less effective as time goes on. Our dishes come out just as dirty as we put them in and have added white stripes and smears from the undisolved soap! We have our water heater cranked to max heat and it still does not keep water hot enough to be effective. I will never buy another dishwasher without a built in water heating element. I've already had LG service out twice and they say its was a problem with the rinse agent door and replaced that. They also recommended I install a mini water heater inside the cabinet beside the dishwasher to keep the water hotter. (Not sure why cause it already scalds your hand from having the main temp maxed out.) Otherwise they said it is functioning as...

Just don't buy it
For the first three months, this thing was awesome! Super functional, adjustable, love the very top rack for serving spoons, spatulas, etc. Three months after installation, the dishwasher stopped during its cycle and threw error code OE. It wouldn't drain. We did everything we were supposed to do (checked hose for kinks, flushed hose out, pulled dishwasher out from the wall, etc). Nothing worked. Finally got a tech out, and he couldn't figure it out. He ordered a new drain pump and motor. Two weeks later we finally got those installed. A week later, and it's broken again. So the dishwasher is 6 months old. The drain pump and motor are 1 week old. And the dishwasher still isn't working. We've had use of it for 3 of the 6 months that we've had it. This is the second time we've bought an LG appliance that had an issue soon after (brand new) purchase. Lesson learned. LG is crap.

Pretty cool dishwasher
We bought this from Best Buy and had it professionally installed. It has been up and running for a few weeks now. After the first run I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the dishes and the effectiveness of the drying cycle. However, after trying the "powerscrub" and "extra dry" features, I was very pleased with the outcome on both counts. Just be aware that with these features, a run will take about 3.5 hours. The washer is VERY quiet. During the first run it made a very pitched whine during the whole cycle, and I was like "I can't live with that!" However, since the first cycle it has not made such a sound.
The washer dries the dishes without a heating element. Instead it pulls moisture out of the unit with a fan. It REQUIRES a drying aid, like JetDry, or something of the sort for adequate drying of the dishes, and the instruction manual informs you of this. The downside is you have to buy a drying aid. The upside is you can put plastics on the...

Throw away after 3 years
I purchased a 1200.. top the line LG in September of 2009, November of 2011 the machine came up with an error code of 1E which the manual states a Water Inlet Valve. So the part was replaced... Guess What, that wasn't the issue, so I contacted LG and they had me go over some troubleshooting over the phone with no luck.... So they gave me Appliance Repair Centers that only deal with LG.
To make a long story Short; After having 2 parts swapped out one was for $91.00, the Inlet Valve was $54.00 and another $91.00 yet to be paid to the Appliance Repair Guy... Oh and I forgot about the computer board (which only has a 5 year warranty) was replaced... I have a $1200.00 Dishwasher that does not work!
LG called me to say that they will pro rate it by giving me $676.00, after all that was put into it, that comes to $440.00 and I have to send mine back...Hmmmmm

Racks fall down
The dishwasher cleans pretty well and has a unique energy saving drying device. I don't like this dishwasher because the tines on the bottom rack will not stay up. This is fine if you are washing pots and pans, but it is not good when all your plates come crashing down. I bought this in July 2012. I called LG and they offered to send someone out but gave me a 4 hour window for a service call. I doubt anyone can fix it since it is just a design issue.
