Doesn't dry. Hard to maintain.
This expensive wonder cleans the dishes absolutely spotlessly clean. In that way, I love it. I also like the silverware tray at the top of the dishwasher. The silverware gets better cleaned and does not take valuable space from the lower shelf. However, it does not dry the dishes--not one bit, not at all.

One would think the dishes would dry at least somewhat, from the hot water; but the last rinse must not be hot. When the 3 HOUR (!) cycle finishes and I open the dishwasher, every item is dripping with water. Water stands in any indentation. No matter what cycle choices, I can not get this machine to dry.

In my area, we have very hard water. The dishwasher has a built in water softener, which is probably why it washes so beautifully. However, the darn thing needs salt added every second wash. It is kind of a hassle to have that much maintenance required constantly.

Love it.
We bought this almost 2 years ago when we did an addition onto our kitchen. We were unhappy with our prior dishwashers, a kitchen aid that was in the house when we bought it, and a GE which the salesperson convinced us was a phenomenal cleaning machine with its pirhana food grinder. Essentially, neither machine would clean very well because the spray arms would become clogged with food. We wanted a dishwasher that was quiet and that would clean the dishes without me having to perform microscopic surgery on the spray arms every week (which has earned me an honorary medical degree of dishwasher surgery). Reviews on this unit assured us that it could be done.

This machine has not disappointed. The dishes are clean every time. We use it at least once every day and maybe we have had to rewash something maybe two or three times. It is so quiet once you get past the initial filling up cycle that we can hardly tell that it is on, literally. If there is a conversation going on in...
