Basic Builder Model: Looks Good, Works Terribly
I live in a downtown apartment building (brand new construction) and my suite came equipped with this unit. When I did the walk through before I signed my lease, the stainless steel appliances were definitely a perk. As far as aesthetics are concerned, this is one pretty looking dishwasher.
The trouble starts when you go to use the thing. Your first frustration will be that wine glasses do not fit on the top rack. If you've prepared a full meal for four, you will be hard pressed to get all of your dishes and glasses into the thing.
The fun really starts when you turn it on. If you are good at carnival games, you might be able to get the knob to land at the precise beginning of the cycle you are looking for. Go too far? Try again. It's 2013, there is no reason to keep using electromechanical knobs on our appliances. Once you do start your load though, fasten your seatbelt and prepare for takeoff! Or rocket launch. The thing is louder than your neighbors speedboat...
