8557301 Whirlpool Washer Timer ordered from OhioASC through Amazon
Installation was literally plug and play. Has kept my machine running at full speed. Ordered as a new part from OhioASC through Amazon for $67 free shipping. Repair man wanted $100 part and labor.
(Under normal operations if you turn the timer knob fast and aggressively the internal gears get stripped, which in my case, caused the spin cycle not to run at full speed leaving the laundry really wet at the end of the cycle.)
Fixed the washing machine
Item was promptly shipped and easy to install. Washer now will continue thru it's cycles and spin dry the clothes properly. If you have never replaced one of these, I would spend a little time searching on the web for how to's. There are several good videos out there.
